BASE: (Breathing and Stretching Exercises)
BASE, is a series of breathing and stretching exercises designed in short segments that are simple to follow.
The exercises include a range of physical postures to increase mobility and body awareness. When combined with the breath, the exercises enhance mental clarity, focus, vitality and build a foundation of self-awareness and self-worth.
The BASE CD set includes 6 tracks and a Poster of the postures.
Track 1 and 2
These are two different, 6-minutes routines of BASE for Focus. BASE for Focus can be used anytime when energy needs to harnessed and grounded. The affects of the practice are calming, centering and restorative.
Track 3 and 4
These are two different, 6-minute routines of BASE for Energy. These can be used when there is a lack of energy or motivation to increase vitality and mental clarity. The affects of the practice are uplifting and motivational.
**The routines are intended to be used independently, but can be combined or alternated to keep the practice varied and fresh.
Track 5 and 6
These are music tracks from renown composers to enhance mental clarity and feelings of well-being.
BASE was created as a project to bring the benefits of Breathing and Stretching to Elementary School classrooms. It is currently being used in the Lake Placid Elementary, Petrova and Bloomingdale and Keene school systems.
Although it was designed in short segments for the classroom, it is the perfect format for the office, wake-up, or wind-down routine in your home for any age and ability.
