Off-Ice Comprehensive Training for Skaters
✧ This program is designed directly with Coach/Coaches to suit their skater’s specific needs and schedule.
✧ It is designed to enhance the On Ice results and performance of skater’s by creating a program of physical and mental fitness.
✧ The components of the program include (but are not limited to): Yoga Classes, Strength and Conditioning, Off-Ice technique for spinning, jumping, stroking and moves, meditation, group dynamic strategy, self awareness and self worth.
✧ Mimi Wacholder is both an instructor and curator of other specialty coaches.
✧ The program will be a tuition-based program for a prescribed session (typically four per year) to accommodate evolving schedules and skater needs at different times through the season. In the summer months the program can designed as a training camp.
✧ Classes are offered via Zoom but in-person opportunities can also be arranged through the coach.

Mimi Wacholder is a former National Competitive Ice Dancer, Principal Professional Skater with the Ice Capades and Company Member/Choreographer with Ice Theatre of NY. She has been coaching at the Olympic Center for over two decades offering programming to literally thousands of skaters over the years. Wacholder also travels as a consulting on and off ice coach and choreographer offering workshops around the country.
She is a certified Yoga Teacher/Therapist and has been offering yoga to elite athletes in skating, bobsled, luge, canoe/kayak for the last twenty years. With her unique background as a competitive athlete and diverse training she is able to design the yoga to suit the specialized physical and mental needs of the individual athlete. As a compliment to the yoga, Wacholder has a vast knowledge of the body and offers classes in strength and conditioning, pulling from techniques that include Pilates and Barre and more. Wacholder has been studying personal development for the last 30 year and brings her knowledge, experience and tools to skaters to help them develop a sense of purpose, intention, clarity and self- worth on and off the ice. She has been recognized for her passion and compassion that she brings to her students to meet them where they are, and take them to where they want to go.
